DR. CHRIS KUNZE
Dr. Kunze received his DVM from Kansas State University in 2000. Upon completion of a one-year internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Virginia Tech University, he was accepted as a diagnostic imaging resident at Texas A&M University. In 2004, Dr. Kunze finished his residency training and passed the American College of Veterinary Radiology’s board-certifying examinations, becoming a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Radiology (DAVCR). Dr. Kunze founded Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging of Texas in 2005.
During his free time, Dr. Kunze stays busy enjoying the Austin area with his wife and son. The family can often be found trying to avoid sunburns while water skiing on Lake Austin. He also enjoys backpacking and mountain climbing in southwestern Colorado and Eastern Utah.

DR. WINNIE LO
Dr. Lo earned her DVM from the University of California, Davis in 2003. After an internship at the Veterinary Specialty Hospital in San Diego, she returned to the University of California, Davis for a residency in diagnostic imaging. She became board certified by the American College of Veterinary Radiology in 2008. For one year, she served as a clinical instructor at the University of California, Davis, where she taught junior residents and senior veterinary students. Dr. Lo has extensive training in all modalities of imaging, including ultrasound, radiography, CT, MR and nuclear scintigraphy.
Dr. Lo joined V-dit in 2010. In her free time, she and her husband like to hike the many trails in and around Austin. They also enjoy trying out new restaurants and traveling.

DR. LAYLA SHAIKH
Dr. Shaikh graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 2007, after receiving her undergraduate degree from Rutgers University in 2003. She worked as an emergency/critical care veterinarian in several multispecialty hospitals in Pennsylvania and California until moving to the University of Georgia, finishing her residency in diagnostic imaging and radiology in 2015. Dr. Shaikh’s research at UGA focused on magnetic resonance imaging, including novel sequence techniques, spinal imaging and imaging of the distal equine limb. She has presented at the annual scientific meeting of the American College of Veterinary Radiology, receiving an Outstanding Resident Award for her contributions, and is published in various journals including Veterinary Radiology and Ultrasound. Dr. Shaikh is based in Atlanta, GA and is part of our teleradiology team.
Clorissa was born and raised in Austin, Texas where she also found her love for Veterinary Medicine. In 2001, she began working at a general veterinary practice in the Austin area. After managing for a few years, she decided to move on to a specialty hospital in 2004 to learn more about the specialties of veterinary medicine. She worked along side Dr. Kunze for many years but became a member of Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging of Texas in 2007.
In her free time, she enjoys baking with her daughters, hiking with her husband and dog “Wally”, as well as playing with her two cats, “Ellie” and “Simon”. She also enjoys cooking, singing and spending time with family and friends.

Erin grew up on a farm in southeast Nebraska and has worked with animals all her life. She received her degree in Veterinary Technology at the University of Nebraska-Curtis and became a licensed veterinary technician in 2004. She moved to Austin in 2006 and has worked since then as a technician in a local veterinary hospital. In 2014, she and her husband welcomed their first daughter. Shortly thereafter, Erin joined V-dit.
In her free time, Erin loves to read, bake, participate in CrossFit, and vacuum up the hair from her dog and four (yes, 4) cats. She also enjoys spending time with her daughter, son and husband and traveling to Nebraska as much as possible to see family and friends.
